Letter Pattern Phase III

Phase III was the hardest of the three. I really struggled seeing what my professor was wanting. I talked with him at great lengths trying to see what he saw.
We were to take one of our final four squares from phase I and design patterns and color it in. The goal was to experiment with color and change the overall feel of the square. It was no longer letters and numbers put together, but a single piece of art that flowed and stretched the boundaries. Above is my first attempt.

I started to branch out a little bit. Above I was experimenting with more pattern ideas to color with. Below I started to get more focused and kept with a color scheme. Most of the changes were subtle, but made a difference.

In the end I felt really happy with my finished product. At the request I broadened my color scheme and saw a big difference in the excitement that choice created.
